Biryani House serves delicious (as well as very healthy) food!
Highly recommend, especially for those who love home style and spicy meat.
Good size of dishes, made by the owner in best Pakistani traditions.
Really one of the best halal food that i tried in L. A.
We'll come back again for sure!
Thanks guys! -

I really wanted to love this restaurant. I had been wanting to try Biryani House and decided to place a takeout order.
When I had called in the order, whoever answered the phone took my order and just hung up. Didn't take my name or number, didn't tell me how long it would take for it to be ready, didn't say thank you or goodbye - he just took the order and hung up. I thought maybe we got disconnected, then I figured I should just head out to the restaurant.
The restaurant was empty when I arrived. No one greeted me when I entered the restaurant. In fact, everyone in the kitchen saw me walk in and watched me as I approached the counter, and still no one acknowledged me. It felt very awkward. Finally someone came out without saying a word to me and grabbed my order, which was already packed up, set it in front of me, and went directly to the cash register. He held out his hand for payment (again no word) and didn't say anything until I signed the credit card receipt with a small tip, after which he thanked me.
Now the food. I ordered the Student Chicken Biryani and plain and garlic naan. I also wanted to order samosas as well but was told they didn't have any. The food tasted delicious, though my only complaint about the food was that I had to keep picking out small chicken bone pieces as I ate it. It was more work than I bargained for. Unfortunately I was just disappointed with the whole overall experience and don't plan to return. 2.5 stars, rounded down to 2. -

Food was ok, but they had exactly zero veggie dish or seafood that day. Makes me wonder if they discriminate against Hindu and don't serve them, because they eat vegetables.
We also got a really nasty look when we first walked in. Not sure if it was the interracial composition of our group or what. She hesitated to sit us for awhile and then she looked at the wall clock so I asked if she was closing soon. The guy picking up food was like no. They close at 8 or whatever time.
Never felt this unwelcome at a place. Needless to say, We won't be going back. I wish they would just put it on Yelp and be straightforward about who they want to serve so it can save myself the trouble and the attitude
Also, dirty stuff on the table. The napkin holder and the condiment containers. -

Absolutely yummy food, clean facility and friendly service. Tried beef nihari, goat karahiee and veal biryani.
Specially their biryani is the best in town -
